2009 Greek Week Champions!Tau Kappa Epsilon is your 2009 Greek Sing and Greek Week Champions!
Dear Visitor,
Welcome to the website of TAU KAPPA EPSILON Fraternity – Pi Upsilon Chapter of Towson University. Our chapter started in the early 1980’s but was shutdown due to some old-school fraternity antics. However, we managed to re-colonize in 1999 with the help from our founding fathers. Since our re-colonization, we have strived to redefine fraternity life by actively participating in campus and community events while indulging ourselves with some celebrations on the side.
The members within our specific chapter devote themselves to getting the most out of their college experience, but with that comes hard work. A fraternity requires a person who is loyal, dedicated, and willing to put time in to better their fraternity. Here at Towson TKE we consider our chapter standards to be on a higer level. We are interested in members who are social, have distinct character, and are able to contribute positively towards our chapter.
On top of the many social events that our chapter partakes in, we also require our members to give back to the community. In recent years we have participated in the Build-a-playground program in which members from the community and local organizations collaborated to build a state of the art play ground for neighborhood children. We also assisted the Hillendale Elementary School with renovations within their school (painting, cleaning, organizing). We believe that to being a part of an organization such as a fraternity requires a person to be a very well-rounded individual. By actively participating in community events we are able to break the stigma attached to Greek Life and also give back to the community.
Tau Kappa Epsilon is a different type of fraternity; one by which brotherhood is built and memories are forged. The guys that you could one-day call your brothers will be the same people standing beside you at your wedding, and looking over you at your funeral. For more information about TKE or RUSH please click on the appropriate link at the top of this screen or feel free to stop any of us that you may come in contact with on campus.
Thanks, Jordan Jankowski TKE Chapter President |
